Apple Pie Baked Apples

Ingredients

  • 3 Pink Lady apples
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)

    Make Filling: Peel and chop 1 apple. Mix with sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Add water and lemon juice, simmer until tender.

    Prep Apples: Cut tops off remaining apples and hollow out. Fill with cooked apple mixture.

    Make Lattice: Roll dough and cut into strips. Create lattice pattern on each apple.

    Air Fry: Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Cook at 350°F / 176°C until tender and crust is golden, about 14 minutes.

    Serve: Let cool slightly before drizzling with caramel sauce if desired.
